Farmers Guardian Scotland having a positive impact

BRIEFING Media Agriculture’s growing portfolio has been given a significant boost with the launch of Farmers Guardian Scotland.
Building on the momentum of the Farmers Guardian brand which continues to flourish since it shifted to magazine format in July 2016, the new Scottish edition provides dedicated coverage for readers in Scotland.
With 32 pages dedicated to coverage of Scottish agriculture on a weekly basis, the Farmers Guardian team has welcomed hugely respected Scottish journalist, Ewan Pate, to the team on a freelance basis.
With decades of experience and a comprehensive contacts book, Ewan is already proving to be a real asset for the title, with several exclusive articles under his belt and real insight in to the complex world of Scottish agri-politics.
With early sales figures assembled, Farmers Guardian Scotland has made a really positive impact to newstrade sales, is leading to more subscription acquisitions and is providing the commercial teams with a new hook with which to entice a raft of advertisers, both new and established.
Farmers Guardian editor Ben Briggs said: “More farmers in Scotland than ever before are being exposed the Farmers Guardian brand with the launch of this new edition.
“With a raft of content tailored specifically for Scottish readers, we are providing the best insight and analysis in to the big agricultural issues facing our readers in Scotland. With the dynamics of Brexit shifting all the time, the turf war between Holyrood and Westminster intensifying, and Scottish shows and sale rings having their own identity, Farmers Guardian Scotland is well placed to provide a unique view for this growing readership.
“It was also heartening to hear scores of positive feedback from Scottish readers we spoke to at the Royal Highland Show in June. With an enhanced marketing presence at the show, Farmers Guardian Scotland was front and centre at the biggest event in the Scottish farming calendar.”
