Feedinfo seeks feedback as it launches new methodology in IOSCO compliance move

8 September 2020 – In a move that further enhances the value provided to its subscribers, FeedInfo is today announcing the launch of its new IOSCO-compliant price reporting methodology.
Covering amino acids, vitamins, feed phosphates and copper sulphate, we are now seeking feedback from subscribers before formally adopting the new methodology.
The move to ensure Feedinfo meets standards set by IOSCO – the International Organisation of Securities Commissions – means that work will be independently audited every year to ensure price assessments are fair and that the process which is used is documented and transparent. It is designed to ensure benchmarks are robust and reflective of the current market.
Feedinfo Managing Director Emma Penny said, “While we already work to a rigorous methodology, the move to IOSCO compliance is a major step forward for Feedinfo. It will mean that now, more than ever, customers will be able to trust our price assessments, and know that they are robust and produced to the highest standards.”
“In other industries such as oil and gas and metals, IOSCO compliance is well-established, but we are the first in the feed industry to invest the time and money in this. We want to remain at the forefront, and this is part of our ongoing investment in improving our offering even further.”
As part of the move to compliance, subscribers are invited to review the new methodology. If you would like to review the methodology document please email emma.penny@agribriefing.com .
The methodology will be formally adopted by Feedinfo once the consultation period has ended, 30 September 2020, and all subscriber responses have been considered.
